The last few days saw a lot of paint happening at the house. On Thursday the painters came in to mask off everything then primer the walls, then they came back on Friday to paint the finished layer on. While this was happening on the inside, siding continued to go up on the outside.
The siding on the north wall is almost complete, but they won’t be able to finish until Wednesday because we are waiting on the delivery of another thousand feet of wood that will hopefully be enough to finish the house. With the steel in, and now siding going up around the roof garden, its finally starting to feel like a cozy outdoor room up there.
Built in Shelves
This weekend Katherine and I were in painting our built in book shelves. We haven’t done much work ourselves so far, but the painters came back with an estimate of $1200 for the shelves which we decided to do instead for $60 in paint and supplies and a weekend of work. Plus it worked well to get it done this weekend because flooring is scheduled to start today and there is much more freedom to spill things before the floors go in.
