A big thanks to everyone who showed up on Sunday. We had probably around two hundred and fifty people come through the house and we’re pretty thrilled to have been able to share our house with so many neighbors and architecture enthusiasts. We’re almost done with the house, enough so that we’ve moved in over the last few days.
Dealing with the bank
There’s still work to do though. We still don’t have a closet, our covered entry needs work and there’s lots of yard and garden work to do, but the big task right now is getting our final paperwork together for our construction loan. On April first, our construction loan will roll into a mortgage… Before then there is an assortment of things that we need, we need to get paperwork from the city that verifies legal occupancy, we need to register our doneness with the title company, and we need to pull the rest of our money out of our construction budget because in a week and a half, it won’t be available anymore.
