Today was a busy day of getting things done. Our plumber showed up today to rough in sewer and water for the house, this actually all happened really quickly in just an afternoon. In addition to that, foundation drains went in. Read the rest of this entry »
Yesterday we had a little bit of progress on site, our contractor came in and wrapped our foundation with bituthene waterproof membrane and did some preparation work for the plumber who will come out on Monday and requested that gravel be put in ahead of his work. So we now have a crushed rock bed for our slab when that comes in.
Its been an exciting few days to catch up on. On Friday very early concrete was poured.
The foundation guys showed up today and got most of our forms in place to pour concrete on Friday. Read the rest of this entry »
Yesterday our surveyor made it out to locate the house on our lot. It was a slow week in general, which was probably good that a lull in the schedule coincided with a week of excessive heat. But on Friday our surveyor staked out the corners of the house so that on Monday when the excavator comes in, he’ll know where to dig, and when the foundation guys come on Wednesday, they’ll be set as well. Sewer work finished up on Friday, the last of the equipment was removed this morning. We have a schedule for progressing, on Monday the 3rd, our excavator is scheduled to come and dig out a hole for our basement, then the foundation guys will come in on Wednesday. Before then, we are getting a surveyor to come out to locate the foundation… Aside from that, there’s not a whole lot happening this week.
